anbruch

I went riding/running on the MKT trail tonight at dusk, and as usual found myself doing about 7 min/mile pace as I realized I was 4+ miles from where I started. Ug. I totally need to pace myself.

Anyway, on the way back, I kept noticing that all these fireflies had landed on my shorts and chest, and were just sitting there glowing.

I then noticed the trees were alive with the neon demon glow of millions of fireflies. But they weren’t flying around, and they weren’t blinking either. I guess it was too cold? Anyway, they were just ‘on’. As if to say:

“Yes, Ed. We share your apathy and despondency. We are pathetic like you, and since our boyfriend is in Vienna too, we have lost the impetus to exist.”

Chided by insects, how sad.

I think you missed the sign...

Do something crazy, Ed. Buy plane tickets to Vienna. You know you want to. Hit up cheaptickets and orbitz, youre bound to find a decent deal (FORGET ABOUT WORK!). I have found that the only cure from being away from your significant other is to, well, stop being away from them as eloquent as that sounds. No amount of talking on the phone, although incredibly nice, is a substitute for actually being with the person. Think about it...

Anonymous- who are you and what do you want?

Seestar-See that sounds like a good plan, but I am po! And basically this is a test for myself to see how I can repress my desires and wants. (A life long test)

Amanda-I remember that too! When I die, I hope someone puts me in a gigantic bottle of alcohol until my abdomen stops glowing. Love!

Ms.-

You function on so many levels! Your hag abilities are unparalleled! As I've said before, "sexual confindante" bees, "lunch-buying" bees, "Paris Hilton body disposing of" bees, "fashion debutante" bees. The possibilities are endless. Love!

if i ever was confronted with hundreds of fireflys glowing at the same time it would not be a sign of desperation and loneliness but one of connection and joy.

Actually anonymous, my friend Robyn probably pointed out that because they weren't blinking they were probably fucking. Which means that those bitches had the nerve to taught me with their sexual freedom. Guh!

glowworms are the female counterpart to fireflys they are ground based but will climb tall grasses if the fireflys were in the trees then no they were not fucking.
